The Pencil with Seeds is a creative product combining the classic writing tool with a unique eco-friendly twist. Featuring a biodegradable pencil core with a seed inside, the Pencil with Seeds is perfect for anyone looking to bring more greenery into their lives as the pencil is plantable and will grow flowers, herbs and vegetables.

The pencils are not individually packed nor do they have a cardboard backing. 

Packaging options and branded backing cardboard can be discussed.

After you have used the pencil, you are able to plant your pencil and grow something sustainable.

If you are just too excited to wait to finish the pencil, you can remove the capsule with the seeds and plant the seeds and happily keep using your pencil. By twisting the capsule and the pencil in opposite directions, the seed pod should come loose from the pencil and release the seeds.

Alternatively, once the pencil has been used down to its bare minimum, plant the pencil into the ground, with the seed pod on the top.  

The "lead" inside the pencil is not actually lead, but a mixture of graphite (a form of carbon) and clay. Graphite is a naturally occurring mineral and is non-toxic. When pencils break down in the soil, the graphite and clay inside the core are harmless to plants and animals. 

The graphite won't negatively affect the growth of vegetables or herbs. In fact, both graphite and clay are environmentally benign and can even slightly improve the soil's aeration and drainage.

So, there's no concern about toxicity or harmful impact on the plants that would grow from the seed pod at the tip of the pencil. Thus, these seed-pencils remain aligned with eco-friendly practices.

You are able to choose the colour of the tip which houses the seed.
